Messrs Beeche, Hilder and Martin recommended to the Conference as candidates for the ministry. Home and foreign mission matters vere thoroughly discussed, and it was decided to ask the Conference to increase the Rev. Haddon's stipend' and ti a veiling allowance. A resolution congijatulating the Premier on the passage of the Gaining Bill, but regretting the continuance of the totalisator and the legalising of boo"' makers, was carried unanimously. At the afternoon session it was decided to recommend that Stratford circuit be granted £40 on condition that fn stipend be increased to £180 per annum; that Eltham receive £25 per ainum. Ar extensive resolution about Maori work was sent to Conference. On the motion of Rev. Hammond it was decided to recommend Conference that the connection with the Outlook be' severed and that a distinctively cJmich paper be commenced.
