The Standard's Johannesburg correspondent reports that Mr Botha has accepted the invitation to visit London
The Imperial Government are credited with a desire to persuade Mir Botha to execute their policy regarding Chinese labor in order to* save the Radicals', face. Such a coarse was arranged with. Sir Richard Solomon when it was anticipated the latter would become Premier. Mr Botha is less squeezable, and his Ministry has already decided to allow the renewal of contracts to prevent the country's ruin.
The Morning Post's Pretoria correspondent saystthie invitation embaraased Botha, who was'lanxiouis to avoid the suspicion of ignoring the union of the Transvaal with the Empire. The Post adds tibat the Liberal Government ruined Sir R. Solomon's political .career, and may injure Botha if the impression is given that his position is used for party purposes in England.
