PALMERSTON N., February 14. Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — We yasded 17,500 of all classes There was a large attendance, and competition in most cases was good, especially for any straight lines of young ewes,, the highest price for 2-tooth ewes being 18s 6d and for 2-tooth ewe? 17s 6d. Aged ewes did not reach the prices in some cases expected by vendors, but, on the whole, we had a successful sale and sold over 13,500 sheep, 10,000 of which were sold under the hammer. Quotations :— 2-tooth ewes Jss Id to J7s 6d, small 2-tcoth ewes 12s 6d to 13s 6d. 4 tooth ewes 18s 6d, 4, 6 and f.f.m. wes 15s 6d to 16s 9d, good soundmouth ewes lls to 13s, aged ewes 9s 4d to 10s 6d, cull ewes 4s Ud to 7s, good lambs 9s to 9s 6d, medium lambs, 6s 6d to 8s 7 d, cull lambs 3s- 3d to 5s lid, 2-tooth wethers 14s to 14s 6d.
