WELLINGTON, April 14.

A youth named John Ourlett, 15 years of age, pleaded guilty to the theft of a. letter containing money, and was remanded to the Supreme Court. Accused was engaged as runner between the money order office and the dhief post office, and it was his duty to clear the- money order office posting box. During the month several letters posted there had. gone astray, and a test letter was posted with £1 enclosed. This the accused took, and on his arrest admitted taking the other letters, but as they contained no money he had destroyed them.
