THE CHRISTCHURCH COMPETITION.

CHRISTCHURCH, January 22. The statement for the 38th week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's egglaying competition at Lincoln College shows that 665 eggs were laid during the week, making the total to date 24,823. Following are' the best totals for the week : C. Petersen's Black Orpingtons 31. H. P. Pocock's Black Orpingtons 27; Alexandra Poultry Company's White Plymouth Rocks 27. Totals to date are : H. Hawke, Silver Wyandottes, 988; J. Mann, White Wyandottes, 874: J. H. Shaw, Brown Leghorns, 839; R. E. M. Evans, Silver Wyandottes, 783.
