CHRISTCHURCH, November 6. The weather is cloudy for the second day of the races, and the attendance is up to the average. Middleton Hurdles.— Magnificent 1, Waiwera 2, Tupara 3. Scratched : Catherine GoTdon. .Magnificent was in front aU the way and won by three lengths. Leeside fell at the last fence. Divs., £1 8s 6d and £1 5s 6d. Criterion Handicap. — Master Alrx 1, Black Reynard 2," Solution, 3. All started. These three raced together from the start, and after a great finish Master Alii won 'by a length. Divs., £5 17s.
