ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

LPRBSS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, December 18. A body was found in the harbor late on Saturday. It was a good deal decomposed, and was also disfigured by the depredations of fish. It is supposed to be that of Henry Pearce, one of the crew of the Andora, who was reported as missing from the ship two days Wore her departure for Melbourne. Pearce was about 50 years of age. ' George. Stephens, the second son of the Inspector of Works for the Harbor Board, ' was drowned in the lower harbor yesterday. He was sailing in the yacht Anonyms, with two others. A strong south wind' was blowing, with lumpy water. The dinghy broke loose, and the yacht put about to recover it. When close to it, Stephens jumped into the dinghy, but rolled over the gunwale. He swam a few strokes, and then sank. The body so far has not been recovered.

James Douglas, a dairy farmer, aged 46,. living with his wife and family at Purakanui, was found banging in a cowshed on Saturday afternoon. The body was cut down, but lite was extinct. Deceased was in comfortable circumstances, but was troubled by insomnia.
