• NAPIER, September 29. ' The Hawke't Bay golf tournament was continued to-day, when the second rounds of the championships were played. In 'the Men'« Championship. Tuahino.Runga beat the New Zealand champion, Kurupo viiineri in this round were:--F. L. GorJortT&whai, H. Peacock, C. D. Ken2Sfr,sare «!eiha, Wi Hioti, .ndW.E, Reid.\ In the Ladies' Championship the winner in the second founds were Miss Bidwoll, Mitt Nnnneley, Miss Abraham, MfU Strange, Misses Fannm, Hewlings, Button, and Hindmarsh. The Driving and Approaching Competition for ladies was won by Mrs L. A. Abraham (Palmerston Notthl, with Mrs A.^ Strange (Palmerjtqn North) second, and Miss Beatson (Hasting*)' tfilid. The Handicap Fourtohle iKtch iot ladies resulted m Misses Balfour, and 'McLennan and Misses Din- ' widdie 7 and E. Davis tieing for first place, . and they wHT play off tomorrow. The JHen'a Handicap Match' resulted in N. L. florr (Dannevirke) finishing first, wtth TfnVhine Runga, J. Strang, T. Crosse, and i. tifttaon (sen.) all equal next.
