A CHILD'S DEATH. [FBZSS ABSOCIATIOK.J, CHRISTCHURCH, Sept«snber 26, At the adjourned inquest Wday on the illegitimate child of Caroline Hants, which was born on September lQth and found lying dead beside the mother t»nn after. I the medical evidence ascribed death- to asphyxia, which might have been due to overlaying. It was possibly, but not. probably, accidental. The verdict was. that death was duo to suffocation^, but* that there was insufficient ovidenca to. show the cause of suffocation.
