WELLINGTON, September 26\. Tho recently instituted Council of the Churches to-night passed a resolution favoring Bible teaching in schools,, and the. placing of tho question before, the peopleby tho referendum. Whilo not committing itself to the prinviple of absolute prohibition the council approved of the no-license policy, and pledged ita influence in support of a course* harmonising with Christian principles ahdi the true interests of humanity.
