HOSPITAL DISTRICT SEPARATION.

MEETING OF JOINT COMMITTEE. A SATISFACTORY ARRANGEMENT. The Comrnittfe appointed by the Hawera Hospital Board — Messrs Scott, Robbins, and Boddic, accompanied by tho Secretary (Mr C. A. Budge)— went to New Plymouth on Monday to meet a Crmmittee appointed by the Taranaki Board in order to devise a schc-rne for canying en until (he 31st March, when (hi local Board will be able to de»l wiih its own finance. That steps be token in the interim for tbe final adjus'rnent of the accounts between the two Board?. That it be an understanding between the Bou'ds that no extra o dinary expenditure sball be inenrrtd out of ordinary revenue by the Hawera Board in connection with the Hawera Hospital. Tbat the Tarannki Board continue to colJect contributions and other moneys up to March 3lsf. Mr C. T. Mills, late clerk to - the Taranaki Board, rendered valuable assistance to the conference, and also undertook to prepare a statement of accounts.
