The result of the con-fevi-nce wa? the following arrangement : - Thnt up to March 31sS rext the Hawera Hoard shall admhiis'er ihe affairs of the Hawera district, submitting all accounts passed by that body for piyment by the Toranaki Board, which is to act as the collecting body, the lattrr Board to remit monthly the muount payable in respect of such accounts. That steps be token in the interim for tbe final adjus'rnent of the accounts between the two Board?. That it be an understanding between the Bou'ds that no extra o dinary expenditure sball be inenrrtd out of ordinary revenue by the Hawera Board in connection with the Hawera Hospital. Tbat the Tarannki Board continue to colJect contributions and other moneys up to March 3lsf. Mr C. T. Mills, late clerk to - the Taranaki Board, rendered valuable assistance to the conference, and also undertook to prepare a statement of accounts.
