(FROM OUR OWN COREKSPONDBNT ) On Sunday afiernoon tho Priss Bind played several selections to the evident enjo.vm nt of a large number of townspeople and Sbtilerj adjacent. The secretory to the Band Sporis (Mr Oliver) has received the following nominations : Maiden Chop— W. A. White, R. Berthro, It. Treinain, J. J. ODea, A. P. Gargan. Handicap Chop- W. H. White, . B. Berthro, A. Wichnaan, J. H. Poynton, D. H. Br"ggs. Sawing Cocteßt— Colman Bros., Patterson and Adams, Wicbman and mnte, D. H. Bripgs, and W. h.. Wh te. The general eii"rie q , which cose to-night for the abive sports, promise to be largp, <a.nd given a fine day a good diy's sport is assured. On Saturday evening the Rifle Club met and distributed lines, which we-e i r« etived after months vi weary wating. The Club h over 20 sttoag, and dec : ded t.) have a woiking bee on the range on Thursday next to" finish the range and eric& targets, etc., ready for the opening match, which was fixed for Saturday, 27ih inst.
