HAWKE'S BAY v. WANGANUI.

(PER PRBSS ASSOCIATION.) Napier, August 16. The match Hawke's Bay v. Wanganui ws3 played to-day. The game, which was fairly even, resulted in a win for Hawke's Bay by 6 points to 3.

The date for the Wanganui-Taranaki rep. match was in error advertised for 30th August. This should, of course, be the 20th.

Hawera 11. team went up to New Plymouth on Saturday to play the second of the three games with Star 11. for the junior championship. The game was not a brilliant one by any means, and ended in a draw— a try each. Harrison scored for Hawera and J. Way for Stars. The final will be played at Stratford. Hawera has a legin.

Te Aute School beat Wanganui Collegiate School at football by 21 to 8. Wanganui attribute their defeat by Hawke's Bay to inability to do anything on the wet, heavy ground.
