Dunedin, February 3. Mr J. Baker has selected the following eleven to play for the South Island v. North Island: A. E. Ridley, F. S Frankish, S. T. Callaway, A. Sims (Canterbury), A. H. Fisher, G. G. Austin, R. Wilkie, F. Williams, A. E. Geddes, A. Downes, and J. Baker (Otago).

Mblboubnb, February 8. It has been decided to start the fifth test match on February 28th, instead of March Ist.

Barnes is stilly under treatment. He hopes to participate in the next test match (which commences on the 14th). Saunders goes to Sydney. His bowling may be utilised in the test match. -
