WHEREAS at a Speoial Meeting of the Council held on Friday, the 17fch day of January, 1902, a resolution to the following effect was adopted : — That the " Hawera \ Borough Council," in pursuance of the powers vested in them under 11 The Hawera Borough Drainage Empowering Act., 1900," do borrow the sum of Two Thousand Pounds (£2000) sterling by way of a " Special ! Loan " (to ba hereafter known as " The Hawera Borough Drainage Connections Special Loan ") for the purpose of providing for the oarrying out of drainage works within the Borough under the ,power 3in that behalf vested in the Council by the said Act.
