Sir, — One cannot but notice the Farmers' Union along this part of the coast object to public works being carried out by co-operative labour. Unfortunately, I say, we have had no works carried on amongst us, and cannot correctly give an opinion from personal experience. Would the Farmers' Union object if the Government decided to construct, the much talked of Eltharn-Opunake railway line by co-operative labour? — I am, etc., Perplexed.
