FINANCE COMPANY IN LIQUIDATION.
London, January 14. Mr Whitaker Wright, deputy chairman of the London and Globe Finance Corporation, in liquidation, was examined in the Court of Bankruptcy. Accused said the engineers had been guilty of treachery by misleading the Corporation regarding the value of the Lake View Consols Mine, and the outbreak of war had completed the collapse of the undertaking.
