Auckland, April 28.

The Clerk of Awards has fixed a meeting of the Conciliation Board for the 7th May to enquire into a case filed by the North Auckland Timber Workers' Industrial Union. The Union asks a minimum wage to be fixed, forty-sis hours to be the week's work, overtime pay and holidays to be fixed, that all wages be paid on Friday, that provision be made for old and incompetent men, and that boys commence at 15s per week.
