TRAIN COLLIDES WITH AN
EXPRESS.
IPBE PRBSS ASSOCIATION.) Wkmnqton, January 28. A man named Ryan, an expressman living at Karoti, sustained shocking injuries last night by a train colliding with the vehiole be was driving near Te Aro Station. One arm was severed from the body, and one leg orushed. Ryan was taken to the hospital in a ' very precarious state.
Riley, injured in the railway accident last night, is in a bad state, and little hope is entertained of his recovery. The surgeons found it neoessary to amputate the right arm above the elbow, the right leg above the knee, and the left foot at the ankle.
