Christchurch, October 23. Record Reign pulled up very lame after a mile and a half gallop this morning.

Horace' and Vocalist ran, eleven furlongs in 2.40 ; Merriwee, one mile and a-half, 2.41 ; War God and The Chief, ton furlongs, 2.31J; Dirk Hammerhand, Fadladeen, and Barrome, mile and a half, 2.46; Tarqum, same; Malster and Bride, mile and a half on the tan, 2.55; Finland, Pearl, and Skipper, mile and a half on tbe tan, 2.48. Seahorse was missing. Betting — Cup : 9 to 1 Lancaster, 10 to 1 Severity and La Carabine. Derby : 2 to 1 Finland and Malster. .
