The following teams will meet on the Recreation Ground, New Plymouth, on Thursday next, and in the evening the final selection for the Taranaki Representative Team will be made :— "A" TEAM. Full-back : A. Bayly. XHBEE-QUARTEPS .' , H. M Good. H. Mynott. A. Molntyre. FIVE-EIGHTHS ; L. Alien. Half-back : A. Humphries. Wing Fobwabds : H. Millß. G.H.Ryan. Forwards : G. Parker, G. Bendall, D. J. Watson, B. O'Dowda, F. Bayly, W. Wells, S. Smith. "B" TEAM. Full back : Ho Ids worth. THBEE-QUABTERB : T. Smith ' O'Carroll Preston Five-eights : Hunter. Half-back : Jenkinson. WINO-FOBWARDS : F. Pearson W. Joll Forwards : W. Lambie, Sampson, Greig, C. O'Carroll, Phillips, Coffey, Langman. Emergencies ( ' B " Team). —Full-back : D. Callaghan. Three-quarters : E. Kivel), W. Wood. Halfback: J. Hunter. Wing forwards: A. George, Frost. Forwards: Lile, Chard, Ball, McPherson, Baker. [Detailed comment on the above is needless. For thirty players only five men out of the six Southern teams are considered good enough even for trial. Reputation men are put in to the exclusion of young and improving players from the South. Nothing else was, perhaps, to be expected from the fa t that the Seleotion Committee has not kept in touch with Southern football; but that is only equivalent to saying that the Union is being shookingly mis* managed.] INGLEWOOD I. v.'TUKAPA. Tukap.v was victorious by the narrow margin of three points.
