A. and P. Council.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Palmbbston Nobth, July 21. At the meeting of the United Agricultural and Pastoral Council the rules drawn up by a sub-committee appointed were submitted and adopted. It was decided to hold the annual meeting of the Council at Palmerston in November of each year, but notice of motion , was given by Mr Beetham, of Masterton, that the annual meetings should be held on alternate years at the head quarters of the different associations affiliated to the Council.
A provisional exeoutive committee consisting of Mesßrs McHardy, Wheeler, 8. K. Lancaster (Manawatu), and E. Campbell (Wanganui) was appointed. Resolutions were carried recommend* ing that A. and P. Associations use every endeavor to prevent prizes being awarded to hereditarily unsound animals in the horse breeding classes, and also that steps be taken to endeavor to obtain concerted action by A. and P. Associations, regarding the disqualification rules, the plan at pre*at adopted by racing clubs being favored. Mr D. A. Watt, present secretary of the Manawatu A. and P. Association, was appointed secretary to the Council.
