The Tichborne Case Again.
(per press association.) SYDNEY, NovemerSl. A letter sent to the Colonial Secretary by Mr Priestman, attorney for Rev. Edward Williams, Roman Catholic clergyman, of Devonshire, England, as an old friend of the Dowager Lady Tichborne, requested delivery into the attorney's care the custody of the person of Roger Charles Doughty, otherwise known as William Cresswell. The necessary bond of £500 will be forthcoming as soon as the Colonial Secretary's intentions are known. Later. Lady Tichborne, who arrived by the Warrimo, states she knows nothing about Cresswell, excepting that someone about six months ago wrote to her husband about him. She says she will see him, but she entertains no hope of being able in any way to prove him the rightful heir The Tichborne case happened so long ago that she has no personal knowledge of the affair and nothing to guide her in identification.
