Six more informations have been laid against persons who escaped from the gambling saloon when the police raided it.
Two young" men—Sage and Swanson — were fined £5 each and costs for driving three horsed io>an unfit condition to be worked. . The case had been remanded for the appearance of the employer, bqt he showed he had no knowledge of the state of the animals. The S.M. made strong remarks, and said if the matter had been traced to the person ■. really responsible for the ill-usage of the horrfes he would have given him a good term of imprisonment.
