THE FLOODS IN VICTORIA.

MELBOURNE, September 26. Heavy floodß are reported in the Western District.
A railway embankment at Hamilton has been washed away. It is the heaviest flood since 1870. Other towns are also suffering from tfie effects of the rain. --
