♦— — — (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NELSON, September 26. A monster meeting of women was held in tbe Theatre Royal last night. The speakers were Mrs A. S. Atkinson, Miss Cramp, Mrß Tullock, Mrs Barker, and tbe Rave. Cbatterton (Anglioan) and T. Bray (Baptist), the speeches being remarkably able. MARTON, September 27. The Women's Christian Tempsrance Union here celebrated the enfranchise, ment of women . yesterday by a gilt sale and entertainment. Tbe hall was packed in (be evening, and on the motion of Mrs Jdethbridge a vote of thanks was passed to- Sir J. Hall and others for their efforts in securing the franchise of women.
