Owing to the coal strike thousands of railway bands have been dismissed, and work in the locomotive shops is suspended. In consequence of stones being plaoed on tbe Taffvale railway, an excursion train, carrying six hundred people, wai nearly wreoked. The strikers are suspected. WASHINGTON, August 6. An Italian Eteamer bas arrived at New York with cholera on board. VIENNA, August 8. The Austrian Government declines to grant tbe whole of the Buß&ian demands, ani tbe negotiations for & commercial treaty have ceased.
