(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, August 8. Mr J. Parker Smith, M.P. for Patrick, moved to appoint a commission to rearrange the Irißh electorates. The motion was negatived by 44. Mr T. W. Russell, M.P. for Tyrone, said the Government proposals were the woret kind of jerrymandering. | Mr Gladstone replied tbat they were really based on population. Mr T. Healy contended tbat the Unionists would really obtain more than the number of members they were entitled to. Mr J. Mo r ley eaid tbe Government was willling to allow single electorates if they were demanded.
