DEATH OF SIR WM. FOX.

(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Jane 24. Sir William Fox, who has been gradually getting worse for days past, died yeßterday afternoon, in his 82nd year, tbe anniversary of his wife's death. Sir Geo. Grey had been visiting him of late, and called yesterday, but be was too ill to see Sir George. Hia last public appearance was laying the foundation stone of the Salvation Army Barraoks, on the Queen's Birthday. He founded the New Zealand Alliance, to which he contributed £100 a year, and bis purse was ever open to every good work.
