MESSRS: BUDGE & GOOD'S REPORT.
At Manaia on the 23rd inst. there was a large entry of both sheep and cattle, which ■old readily at the hammer. We quote — Three-year steers J35 2s, 18-month to 2%~ year steers £3 6s to £& 2s 6d, 12 to 15month steers 45s to 535, store cows JG3 7s 6d to JE3 15s, yearling heifers £2 11s to £2 14s, dairy stock M 103 to £6 2s 6d, fat cows £\ to £4 5s 6d, fat bullocks (extra heavy weights) £7 11s. Sheep-—Full-mouthed ewes 7s 3s to Bd, lambs (woolly) 5$ 3d to 7s 3s. At Kaponga there was a keen competition for cattle of all classes. We quote — Two and a half to three years Bteers, SA 2s 6d, 18-months steers £Z 2a, store cows £3 to £3 15s, weaners 30s to 395, dairy stock £i £4 15s.
