j WELLINGTON, March 22. Session of Oddfellows resumed this morning. A deputation was appointed to wait on tbe Government on, general matters of intersst to tho Order. The question of centralisation of sick fund was further adjourned until 1895 session. Election of Grand Lodge officers takes place this afternoon. WELLINGTON, March 23. The defenoe works will be looked after by the resident engineer at each centre, and Bell's place will not be filled up. Carmen, chief engineer at Grafton, is appointed additional inspector of machinery for Wellington. DUNEDIN, Maroh 22. At tbe Supreme Court, Bowerman Bros, sued a Waiwerea settler for value of a picturesque atlas. The plea was misrepresentation. Judge Ward accepted this view, holding there had been grieviooi misrepresentation, and gave judgment for defendant.
