Wanganui, December 15. The market keeps very brisk for all descriptions of stock, and the yards were well filled both at Waverley and Wanganui; the bidding was good throughout, the result being a general clearance of all •ffered.
Cattle,— At Waverley— Steers £3 5s to £i, cows JE4 2s 6d up to £5 10s, heifers £3, weaners 40s. At St. Hill Street— Steers M 14s 6d to JB4 15s 6d, cows and calves .£5 la 6d, heifers £& 5s to £4, 2a 6d mixed cattle JB3 ss, yearlings £2 17s 6d, young steers £2 19a 6d to A3 13s, vreanets 39b, jomig bulls £3 to £4.
Sheep.— At Waverley— -Ewes and lambs, 16a 2d, wethera in wool 15s Id to 16s 9d, shorn hoggets 9s lOd. At St. Hill StreetFat ewes 10s to 12s 6d, woolly hoggets 13s 6d, shorn wether hoggets 10s. Pigs,— Baconers 28s 6d to 30s, porkers 17s to 225, stores 10s to 13s, small pigs 5s Gd.
