(PBB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NAPIEE, March 24. Though the weather ww cold, with occasional showers, there was again a large attendance on the second day of tbe Napier Park Racing Club's Autrnnn Meeting. The raoiog was splendid, the starting good, tbe fields largo, and the finishes close. £7271 was pot through the machines, making a total of £15,516 for tbe two days. , . Novel Race of 70 both. Seveifcforjongs. —Mr. J. Beetbam's Vision, 7.0,1; Tfcpwn Duke, 7.7,2; Lopez, 6.9, 8. Vision won by halt a length from Brown Duke, who beat Lopez by a short neok for second place. Time,' lm 89 215b. •■ Dividend, £7 Is. ' * , Two-Year-Old Handicap pf 75 bovb. , Six furlongs.—Mr. 3. Paal,'a Variety, 8.8, '1; Ua, 7.0, 2; Montromrtre, 6.1, 8. The race was really between the two first horseß, Derrett by clever riding landing Variety in front by three-quarters of a
length. Time, lm 28 1/sh. Dividend, £1 18s.
Second Handicap Hurdles of 100 soys. One mile and three-quarters. — Mr. J. Maher's Couranto, 12.0, 1; Whalebone, 11.4, 2 ; Waterbury, 11.10, 3. Time, 3m 355. Dividend, £5 2s.
Harry Scurfy Stakes of 40 bovb. Seven furlongs.— Mr, H. Jull's Zaccho, 6.12, 1. Time, lm 395. Dividend, £10 la.
Waveriev Stakes Handicap of 100 bovb. Six furlongs. — Captain Russell's Krina, 7.7, 1; Torpedo, 8.5, 2; Heather Bell, 8.0, 8. Strephon (8.5), Cretonne (8.0), and Triton (6.10) also ran. This was a magnificent race from start to finish. Krioft squeezed home by a head, and it was only after the judge had given his verdiot tbat it was known tbat Torpedo had beaten Heather Bell for seoond place. Time, lm 23 l/ss. Dividend, £2 18s.
