A "hack" is a horse that has never won an advertised race (hack and hunter races excepted), and is not, at the time of start, and has not been, during the six calendar months previous to the time of start, nominated for any race, hack and hunter races excepted. Eiders in the Farmers' Plate must produce their certificates to the clerk of scales. All races to be run under the rules of racing as adopted by the Metro- j politan Clubs of New Zealand.
