"Weights to be declared on Saturday, sth December. Acceptances and general entries close on Tuesday, 15th Dec, at 8 p.m. Nominations and acceptances to be accompanied by the amounts payable. Nominations must contain name, age, color, sex, pedigree, and performances, and name and colors of the owners. All horses must be ridden in their nominated colors. A "hack" is a horse that has never won an advertised race (hack and hunter races excepted), and is not, at the time of start, and has not been, during the six calendar months previous to the time of start, nominated for any race, hack and hunter races excepted. Eiders in the Farmers' Plate must produce their certificates to the clerk of scales. All races to be run under the rules of racing as adopted by the Metro- j politan Clubs of New Zealand.
