LONDON, April 9. At the suggestion of Sir E. B. Malet, British Ambassador at Berlin, the Lord Mayor of London has opened a relief fund in aid of the sufferers by the recent floods in Germany. It is stated that Bismarck is a heavy loser by the floods. St. PETERSBURG, April 9. Russia has suspended parking on the Bulgarian question, anticipating a sudden revolution. The Russian press states that the betrothal of Prince Alexander to Princess Victoria in disguise is opposition to the late Emperor's liberal polie3'. Bismarck's organs contain insulting references to the Emperor and Empress. DUBLIN, April 9. There have been more collisions between the troops and nationalists at Ennis, Kanturk, Killruss, in which several people were stabbed by the troops. At Ennip, 75 arrestß were made. Messrs. Davitt, Healv, O'Brien, and Tanner, M.P.'s, were very active, and made strong attempts to hold surprise meetings. Their efforts in this direction, however, were checked by the police.

Two thousand nine hundred tons of coal havo been exported from Newcastle to New Zealand during the past months. Ships for Auckland are particularly scarce.

The charges against the adrninstration of Allison Smith are scouted in railway circles, and unless somo specific charges are preferred it is improbable that any notice will be tplcen of the resolutions passed by the mass meeting of railway hands held on Saturday.

MELBOUENE, April 10.

Two little girls, while crossing a railway line at Sandhurst during a dust storm, were knocked down and killed by the train.

Four Chinaman were stuck up and muderously assaulted on the high road near Shepperton to-day. Sticks and stones were freely used by the assailants.

The express from Sydney to-day ran into and smashed several trucks at "Wodonga. The engine was disabled. It is alleged that the driver disregarded danger signals at the station.

PERTH (W.A.), April 10.

The debate on the question of Besponsible Government for the colony, has been concluded in the Legislature, and a resolution has been passed demanding its contribution to the whole colony without the necessity of special legislation for the northern territory or administration of the waste lands, the colony declining the Secretary of State's proposal for a single Chamber, and rejecting the suggestion for a Board of Control for aboriginees independent of a Ministry.
