STRATFORD & NGAIRE.
(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
On Friday last the Stratford Dramatic Club gave one of their most enjoyable entertainments, the proceedings com* mencing with a concert which was in every way successful, but the piece de resistance was of course " The Two Bonuycastles " a laughable farce, in which the male characters were ably sustained by the Messrs. Renn and M alone, while the refined and finished acting of the ladieß was particularly noticeable. A dance terminated the night's amusement. As it was announced that the funds were in aid of the recreation ground, I have no doubt a start will be made this summer to prepare a suitable place for cricket and luotball.
Our stationmaster, Mr. Peat, has so far recovered from his late illness as to be about again, and hopes very soon to be able to resume his duties.
