This terminated the meeting. Since Monday the Parihaka visitore have been daily passing through town on their return to their homes and still they come. It seems rather curious that some should leave before others. The reason would, no doubt, be interesting. Or it is that with many it takes a few days to work . ff the effects of the feast and before they are in a fit state to travel. The majority of them look remarkably well fed without showing signs of any of the cares which are worrying their European neighbois ; to many no doubt their lot is enviable as' affording almost unending repose, although no doubt, to an active temperament such an existence would be intolerable.
