Whilst other parts of the district have been favored wilh heavy showers, this place has evidently been out of the track of most of them. Both nortL and south reports are to hand of heavy showers. On Friday alone for about two hours slight rain" fell from the south-east, which was, however, only sufficient to lay the dust — none the less welcome, however. This neighborhood, being naturally somewhat wet, is not affected to the same extent as many other portions of the district, but farmers are complaining of short feed, especially where sandy soils abound. January 23.

"Rough on R\ts."— Clears out rats mice, roaches, flies, ants, bod-bugs, beetles, insects, skunks, jack-rabbits, sparrows, gophers. At chemists and druggists. 1
