At tbe mart on Saturday, fowls made 3s to Is sd ; geese, 2s ; potatoes, 3s Cd to 4s Gd; maize, 4s ; onions, lJd to 2d ; yellow sugar, 2Jd; cheese, 4^d to od ; tea, 15s); candles, 6d ; soap, 5s 9d. A lot of sundries sold fairly. Haymarket Yards. — Pigs : Slips made 4s 6d to os 6d ; horses, £3 to £o ss. A lot of plants sold fairly ; fruit trees were very dull. Fruit. — At Thursday's sale, fruit was very dull. Russets in boxes, Is ; cases, 7s to 8s ; cooking, 7s to Ss. Cattle. — The yards were not well filled on Thursday at the Waiwakaiho, young cattle being very scarce. A large supply of <2»zjy cows-, bat most o£ them were of an. inferior description. Prices showed a decline on this class; others remained unaltered. Sheep were again in good demand, and I quitted all very satisfactorily. Very small calves made lls ; calves, 20s to 255 ; yearlings, 29s to 325 ; 2-year steers, £2 17s 6d ; heifers in calf, £3 10s to £I ; fat cows, £1 10s ; cows in calf, springing, £k to £5 5s ; in milk, £3 to £1 10 ; empty, i! 25s to £3. Leicester ewes, pure-bred, 15s ; Hampshire Downs. 12s 6d ; .Leicester hoggets, 9s 3d to 10s ; ewes, mixed awes, 10s j pair bullocks, i>lo 10s. Produce. — Butter remains unaltered at late quotations. Potatoes are moving off quickly at £1 to £1 10s ; onions, at lj to 2d.
