The European Press consider that Batoum ceasing to bo a free port is a prelude to denouncing the Berlin treaty, and is a blow at England.
SYDNEY, July 9.
The vote of want of confidence in the Ministy, proposed by Sir H. Parkes, was negatived in the Assembly last night by 42 to 37.
A Bill, giving effect to the resolution in favor of a grant to Sir John Robertson, passed through committee in the Assemsetnbly.

LONDON, July 6.
Severe fights have taken place on the frontier between the Turks and the Montcngrins.
The Spanish Senate have, by a large majority, rejected an amendment opposing the ratification of the AngloSpanish wine treaty.
Mr. Patrick Egan has summoned an Irish League Convention to meet in Chicago on August 18, to discuss Irish affairs.
