THE LICENSING BENCHES.
The first meetingof the Hawera Borough Licensing Bench takes place to-morrow at noon. The first business will be the election of a chairman. The following gentlemen compose the Bench: — Messrs. Livingston, G. T. Bayly, Flynn, C. Tait, and John Winks. A petition will then be presented to the committee asking that the hours for keeping open the licensed houses in the borongh may be extended to midnight. On Friday the Hawera Eoad District Bench meets at noon at the Town Hall, Normanby. This Bench is as follows: — Messrs. Morrison, Fmlayson, Eobson, Mabey, and Gibson. The Waimate committee does not meet till Friday week.
