WANGANUI EDUCATION BOARD.

The Board met on Tuesday, and the following business of local interest was transacted :—: —

Manaia. — Resolved, That Messrs Yorke, Sutherland, Glenn, Dingle, and Mitchell be appointed School Commissioners for Manaia.

Hawera. — Resolved, That Messrs. McFarland, Hobbs, Syme, Pitcher, and Bate be appointed School Commissioners for Hawera.

Nominations for the Board. — The following gentlemen were nominated for the vacant seats : — Sir W. Fox, Messrs. H. Sanson, D. Coutts, W. H. Lash, D. H. Macarthur, and Dr. Eockstrow.
