MANAIA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The committee met on Thursday evening. Present — Messrs. Dingle, Hughes, O'Brien, and Yorke (chairman.) Correspondence was read from the Education Department stating that the Board took all initiatory steps in the appointment of teacher, but tbat the committee's approval was always asked before appointing.
