His Excellency did not leave for Christchurch yesterday, but will probably leave to-day.
Two documents received by the Governor, one from the chief of Rarotouga, and the other from influential Euglish residents, as to alleged interference of a French war vessel, are published.
INVERCARGILL, This Day.
On Saturday the hodies of a woman and chitdwere found in a ditch near OneTree Point, a few miles from Invercargill, in an advanced stage of decomposition, and has been identified .is a young married woman named Borrison and her child. The woman was subject to fits, and apparently had been f-eized where found. She had been missed since June last.
