THE EGMONT ELECTION.

Eitobts have been made during the last two days to induce Mr. James Livingstone, J.P., to come forward aB a candidate for the representation of Egmont. Last evening, a deputation waited upon him at his residence, and gavo him very warm assurances of support, if he would allow himself to be nominated. Mr. Livingstone requested to be allowed till to-day, to think over the proposal.
