Mr. Waterhouse, without notice, a select committee ■was appointed to inquire into an allegation that last year, while there was con* siderable doubt what would be done with reßpeot to the honorarium of councillors, one councillor had sold his chance to a member of the Lower House. TIMARU HARBOR BOARD BILL. The Hon. Mr. Waterhouse gave notioa* to introduce a rating clause in the Tiniaru Harbor Bill, and its committaLwas deferred till Tuesday. LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Leave was granted to Mr. Hart for ths rest of the session. NEW BILL. Captain Fraser gave notice to ask for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for the settlement of the thermal springs districts of the colony.
