A SUGGESTION.
TO THE EDITOB OF THE STAR.
Sib, — Some months ago the Hawera Road Board passed a resolution at one of their meetings, that no member of the Board was to receive any remuneration for his services. As the Whakainara members are now making application to the Board for payment for their services in attending the meetings of the Board, 1 would strongly recommend the Whakainara members that they ought to take to the stump, and employ Mr. Milmoe as iheh- advance agent. By doing that they would bring more prominently before the public the wants of their district, and save much valuable time to the other members of the Board by their useless talk. A small charge could be made by those gentlemen to admit the public to their lectures. I believe every settler in the district would willingly give a sixpence to get rid of what has become a great nuisance to the other members of the Board. — I am, &c, Settles.
