ARRIVAL OF THE NATIVE PRISONERS AT OPUNAKE.
(from our own correspondent.)
OPUNAKE, Yesterday,
The native prisoners arrived on Thursday morning. They were accompanied by Major Parris and Hone Pihama. After partaking of food, they marched in file to Opoua, Wiremu Kingi's settlement, from whence, I believe, they proceed to Palihaka. They are at present reticent, bufc this soon wears off. On leaving Opunake r they gave three loud cheers.
