AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET.

(ran united pbzss association.) Auckland, Last Night. My. Alfred Buckland reports: — Store cattle were fairly represented; grown cattle low values, but young cattle were in brisk enquiry j fat cattle of good quality were in full number at opening of sale, prices being higher than last week by about 5s each, but fell to last week's values as the sale proceeded, varying with quality from 20s to 235, averaging about 22s per 1001b for Auckland fatted cattle, but ship-borne 18s per 1001b. Store sheep brought — Lambs, 4s 3d; long-woolled ewes, 7s ; Napier wethers, good quality, fairly fatted, brought lls 6d to 13s 6d; Auckland bred wethers, 13s Gd to 15s.
Auckland, Last Night. Messrs. Hunter and Nolan report: — Horses — Continued activity in the market. We quote hacks at JBS 10s to £9 15s ; light harness horses, .£l2 15s to J322; medium draught, £21 to £2.8. In the cattle market there is an improvement, but the supply was not so large. Dairy cows and fat beasts advanced fully Jgl per head. No perceptible difference in stores. Sheep.— There is an upward tendency in the price for best wethers; lambs sold from 6s Gd to lls 3d. Pigs — Few were yarded, and the demand was unsatisfied.
