HAWERA MONTHLY SALE.

Hawera, Friday. Tho yards to-day were well filled with good useful stock. There was a large attendance of settlers, but bidding was very dull, only one pen being placed at the auction. I sold 319 head out of the 425 yarded. Prices were on a par with those of St. Hill*street and Waverley. Quotations are — Grown bullocks, £5 155 ; 2-year-old steers, M ss; fat cows, £o 10s ; cows and •calveß, JBS ; yearlings, £2 to £2 17s 6d ; calves, jei 48 3d. Sheep— wethers : 8s 6d ; store wethers, 6b 6d.
